Sunday in Young Womens

Today went well in Young Womens..Lani our YW
President couldn't make it in and is on their way to
Salt Lake for a family funeral. So Kathleen & I took
care of things with the girls at church today.

We passed out the fliers and invites for our YW
Excellence Program and gave the agenda to the
bishop to look over and approve.

The girls are pretty excited about it and so are we.
Our YW Excellence Program will be held on
Thursday, December 17th from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
following the program the christmas youth dance
will commence at 8 pm to 11pm.

After Kathleen's lesson we had song practice with
the girls for the songs we'll be singing for the YW
Excellence Program.

Soana and Pele

We had our YW Activity today. We were going to bake cookies
to give to surrounding neighbors in the neighborhood around the
stake center and to secret santa families in the ward. Baked some
then realized we couldn't bake in the kitchen..only warm ups..so
that changed things and we ended up just practicing our songs
that we'll be singing at the YW Excellence on the next week.

Thanks to those of you that showed up and helped out. We'll be
seeing you on Sunday and remember to work on your personal
progress books and stuff..

Last Night's Young Women Activity

Last night turned out wonderful, thanks to Kathleen
for introducing the girls to healthy eating habits,
healthy food and staying within the Word of Wisdom
Guidelines.

Yolanda and I were not able to make it. But, Lani
said that it turned out well and the girls loved their
homemade salsa that they created in the ward
kitchen. The no bake cookies were also hit with
the girls.

Good Job, Kathleen & Lani:)

Youth Fireside 9/27 Be Thou An Example

Be Thou An Example
Our fireside last night was our first ever for
our youth and it was a wonderful one. Our
Rose City 1st youth were great in conducting
it and I can just say that I'm so proud of them.

Our Guest speakers were, Christi Lott - Our
Stake Young Women's First Counselor &
Second Guest Speaker was Sione Aisea.
He is our young men first counselor.

We felt the spirit with both speakers and
throughout the fireside.

Our Young Women President, Lani Iongi
was unfortunately not present and was
working. But was happy to hear from
our reports that everything turned out just
fine.

Thanks so much to all you youth that
were there helping, participating and more.
We couldn't have done this without you
all.

Much ofas & God Bless,

YW Fundraiser for YW Camp

For those of you who know..we needed over $980
to pay for 9 girls on the list, that needed
to go to camp but whose parents couldn't afford
to pay their fee.

Well, Kathleen suggested that we hold a fundraiser
and we did! We sold big foil pans of Panipopo
for $25 ea. they all sold the medium pans went
for $15 ea. Then we sold round, fried yeast cakes
that sold out in an hour of them coming of the
fryer!! So by the time Sunday 7/12 hit we were
at $780, then the bishopric announced in a
meeting that they'll cover the remaining amount
left to hit the $980 goal.

It was a fun fundraiser and here a couple of
pics. of the girls taking a food break at Lani's
house!
